Large Framed Firmin Didot Chinese Pottery Lithograph-Pianche IV

$ 650.00
SKU: NB87EP-IV

Details: Premium archival print of a Chinese handled vase in royal blue and yellow, mounted on a black stand with symbolic gold accents. The handles of the urn are figural renaissance dolphins with griffon faces painted into them and the body of the vessel features a finely detailed peacock in a tree surrounded by orange peonies. This is Plate IV from the collection of "Imprimerie Firmin Didot Frere et Fils et Cie. Paris" (lower left), which was distributed by Bauer Hth (lower right). The lower center has a small inconspicuous Griffon trademark. The lithograph on rag paper is housed in a thick, elegant, burnished gold frame adorned with an acanthus leaf motif and scroll detail and matted in an off-white, dupioni silk with burnished copper and gold finished wood trim interior (covered in plexiglass). We currently have three other prints of the same size and matching frames available if a set is desired. The scale of these chinoiserie style prints are ideal for maximalist, traditional interiors!

Dimensions: 35"w x 4.5"d x 40.75"h Artwork=18.25"w x 25.5"h (22 lbs)

Condition: The frame is in beautiful condition, without chips or scratches. The matting is also in excellent condition, however, the "pilling" of the fabric in places is part of the nature of dupioni silk. The artwork is also in great condition-no fading or discoloration of any kind (see detailed photos).
