Details: We wish we knew more about this interesting piece! Believed to be an 18th century carving of a putto or cherub that may have been an architectural sculpture in a church. Depicted perched with knees up and a robe draped over his legs and has a rotating head. The pediment looks more recent as it is not as smooth and burled as the figure's body and head. The piece looks too simple to be an Italian cherubim, but is believed to be from Europe. Great accent piece above a small doorway!
