Details: 18th century French Louis XV walnut commode featuring an arbalete front, scrolled cabriole feet and ornate brass hardware on the 2 small top drawers surmounting the 2 large lower drawers. Simple, vertical, flowy carving and a slightly scalloped apron give this piece an understated elegance that makes it versatile for a variety of décors, ranging from rustic to French provencial. Peg construction with dovetailed drawers. The greatest attribute of this piece is the rich, golden brown finish that showcases the wood's grains and knots!
Dimensions: 51"w x 22.5"d x 34"h (200 lbs)
Condition: This piece has been recently professionally restored. There is evidence of past beetle inhabitation, which has left holes in the walnut that add to the piece's charm. The top surface is made up of 3 planks that exhibit a tiny bit of separation due to dryness. The interior of the drawers are pristine. Does not have a key.
Note: We also have a wonderful Louis XIII end table that compliments this piece beautifully!
