Details: Antique Japonisme bar or display cabinet featuring a detailed inlaid scene on both doors and beautifully painted interior and lower drawer. The bamboo pagoda crest on top is highlighted with hints of gold. The bamboo framed glass door can be opened with a tassel adorned key that fits into a bone keyhole and also opens the cabinet below. The interior has staggered (removable) glass shelves, held in place with gold finished metal bamboo molding that sit above a bird painted motif shelf. The intricate inlay on the doors, depicts a tranquil fishing village scene that is comprised of many different materials, which creates wonderful texture on the piece. The left side cabinet door has the artist's signature block. The lower interior compartment has one removable, adjustable shelf. The lower drawer features a matching bird scene to that in the interior and has a wooden keyhole. This piece is a showstopper on its own and a functional way to display collections or to use as a bar cabinet.
