Details: Stunning antique French Japonisme bamboo vanity featuring an openwork bamboo center with two hooks flanked by small upper and lower drawers and an intricately painted bird floral motif on the surface, sides and all of the drawers. The lower portion consists of two larger drawers with brass keyholes (no keys) surmounting two smaller drawers on each side of the arched opening (13.5"w x 24.5"h) which rests on slightly flared bamboo legs and is joined underneath by a decorative bamboo stretcher. All drawers have dovetail construction, an additional detailed painted snowflake motif and ornate brass handles.

Condition: In beautiful condition, however, the bamboo on the front of the piece is slightly sun faded(see photos). The painting is in perfect condition and is all original.
