Details: Extendable round "Tula" dining table by Alfonso Marina featuring a large inlaid starburst design center framed by an intricate diamond motif inlaid band surmounting four curved legs ending in copper capped feet conjoined by a turned pedestal base. When extended, two tapered pegs legs that are stored in the underside of the top, come down to support the two 13.75"w leaves (see photo). Titled, dated 2004 and numbered 04/30 on the underside - Made in Mexico City.
Dimensions: 71" diameter x 30"h (extends to 98.5")
Condition: The table has lightened due to sun exposure over the years and is a bit darker where the seams meet in the center and on the edges, one small part of the band inlay on the top is missing and there are some chips and wear on the edges of the top, which creates an appealing aesthetic of "rustic refinement". The leaves, which were never used are much darker and are indicative of the piece's original finish, however, if a larger table is needed, a tablecloth could be used to cover the contrasting finishes (see detailed photos).
