Details: Reproduction of an early 20th century American Empire carved mahogany gentleman's wardrobe featuring lion claw feet and cabinet doors with a key. The most interesting thing about this piece is the secret drawer that comes out from under the piece, but cannot be seen. The cabinet doors open fully to a beautifully designed system of drawers and compartments to allow for maximum organization. The top portion has a deep cabinet door flanked by various size drawers, one with built in dividers and another with a wood bowl resembling an ink well, but probably used to keep cufflinks from rolling around. Five long pull out drawers slide in and out smoothly, one with dividers for organizing personal garments. Dovetail construction throughout, brass hinges in tact and a brass latch on the left side door to secure. The piece comes with four casters that can be inserted into the holes in the lion paw feet if desired. A very handsome and functional piece!
