Details: Mid 18th century Rococo French bronze doré marble clock featuring two doves or "lovebirds" surmounting the round clock face flanked by two winged cherubs holding up columns on a floral ormolu adorned oval base. The convex front glass cover of the clock is framed with gold beaded detail and the back is a frosted glass window that opens easily allowing access to the clocks' mechanisms. The set is made complete with the pair of candle holders featuring girl and boy gilt bronze cherubs sitting on detailed tufts holding two staggered candle stems (each takes a 3/4" candle) surmounting marble columns with bases adorned in floral ormolu. Two keys to wind the clock from the front window are included.
Clock=12"w x 4.25"d x 15"h (26 lbs)
Candleholder= 8.25"w x 3.5"d x 13.5"h (7 lbs each)
Condition: The exterior of the clock and candle holders are in perfect condition, however, the mechanism for the clock needs a small pendulum and weight that are widely available in any clock store. We recommend having the clock calibrated after it ships to ensure that it runs smoothly!
