Details: Antique Guatemalan wood slatted birthing chair circa early 20th century. The chair comes with an outdoor cushion that ties on if desired for a patio or garden. It is evident by the different types of nails and wood used, that the piece has been reinforced many times during its lifetime. This fabulous, rustic piece sits comfortably and low and is a great way to bring a bit of character into a space (see photo). We recommend upholstering in one of our vintage batiks from Java or having a lumbar cushion made that can be used as a head rest when lounging!
Dimensions: 15.5"w x 29"d x 36"h Seat= 14.5"d x 16"h (12 lbs)
Condition: The piece has been thoroughly cleaned and restored to protect and bring back the luster of the wood. There is a bit of mint green paint on the upper back of the chair, which adds to the piece's rustic charm. The cushion has been cleaned and is in great condition, as well. We recommend having the slats where the back and seat meet reinforced if daily use is intended.
