Details: Beautiful pair of early 20th century Chinese rosewood petite chairs. Intricately inlaid with Mother of Pearl featuring a bird and floral motif design on the front frame, as well as on the back and along the sides. Peg and groove construction-circa 1900. The wooden seats pop out and have been upholstered in a striped silk on the other side for comfort. The frames are smooth to the touch and the beautiful grain of the wood adds more texture to these amazing accent chairs!
Dimensions: 14"w x 15.5"d x 32.5"h Seat= 12"w x 13.5"d x 17"h (15 lbs each)
Condition: There are superficial cracks on the splats of both chairs and some minor nicks. Pieces of the mother of pearl are missing in places. The chairs are structurally very sturdy. We recommend reupholstering and adding cushion to the seats unless the wood seat is desired. One chair is slightly smaller than the other (see photos).
