Details: Set an elegant table with a set of "Florentine Turquoise" Wedgwood bone china from England (circa 1962). Each piece features a thick turquoise band decorated with black and white griffins (mythical creatures that were thought to find and guard mines of gold and hidden treasure) surrounded by scroll acanthus motifs and alternating grass filled urns. The central motif of each piece is a cluster of fruits and leaves framed in a geometrical turquoise medallion. Although the pattern is intrinsically traditional, it has a Versace style to it that can give it a contemporary feel when set on a solid white or black tablecloth with more modern barware.
The set includes:
12 Dinner Plates (10.75")
10 Salad Plates (8")
12 Bread & Butter Plates (6")
14 Cups & Saucers (Cup=4"w x 2"h) (Saucer=5.75" diameter)
Condition: In beautiful condition! No crazing or wear on any of the pieces. The set has two extra cups, although 1 of them has a tiny chip in the rim.
