Early 19th Century Small Dressing Screen-Etchings by Jean Honoré Fragonard

Details: Louis XVI small three panel dressing screen featuring two hand colored etchings by Jean Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806). The etching on the left is titled " L' éducation Fait Tout a Madame Blondel" and the etching on the right is titled "Les Baignets", which translates as "The Donuts". The top center panels is four paned, beveled mirror surmounting lower panels upholstered in a cornflower blue brocade with coordinating trim. Each panel is framed in a burnished gold gilt wood carved with rope twist detail and the center is topped with a carved bow with trailing ribbon flanking each side and joined with opposable hinges, making it easy to fold depending on desired placement. A great piece to use to conceal a fireplace or as a triptych on a wall.

Condition: The lower right corner of the glass on the far right panel is broken- otherwise the piece is in beautiful condition consistent with its age (see photos).
