Details: Pair of early 19th Century wooden French corbels or wall brackets featuring a carved sunflower surmounting an acanthus leaf design with scrolled detail on the sides. The pieces are painted in a distressed, patinated grey with muted antique gold gilt accents. The pair creates a subdued Old World elegance flanking a piece of artwork or a doorway, staggered on a wall on their own or turned upside down and used as bookends.
Dimensions: 8.5"w x 6"d x 13"h (3.5 lbs each)
Condition: In great condition consistent with their age, yet the paint has been touched up and they do have some chips-primarily on one of the protruding leaf clusters at the bottom of the right pictured bracket (see detailed photos). There are two small holes on the lower portion of each to affix to the wall.
