Italian MCM Hand Finished Paneled Armoire-Circa 1940

$ 4,750.00 $ 2,950.00

Details: Mid-Century Modern Italian hand finished, panelled cherry veneer armoire framed in ebonized wood and raised on six tapered peg legs. Designed by Alecta Lissone. This handsome armoire features three interior sections for optimal clothing storage. The left door opens to reveal a 19"w x 19.5"d x 50"h compartment with a hanging rod at the top and a removable varnished shelf for shoe storage below. The two center doors open to reveal a larger 38"w x 19"d x 51"h compartment with brackets to hold a hanging bar (bar not included) and a removable varnished shelf for shoe storage below. There is a key, as well as a brass latch to secure the doors shut at the top. The right side interior has a short hanging bar at the top and three removable shelves depending on the type of storage needed and measures 19"w x 20"d. All doors have ornate brass ring pulls.

Dimensions: 80"w x 24"d x 69"h (300lbs Approximately)

Condition: In beautiful condition- There are a few nicks along the exterior frame, on the feet and some on the veneer of the door edges. The piece could benefit from a hydrating wax to keep the wood's beautiful luster and the veneer from cracking-There are some superficial cracks from dryness on the exterior panels (see detailed photos). All shelves are held in place by wooden brackets affixed to the sides of the interior. Three keys are included, however, the keyhole frame on the left door is missing. We recommend changing out the hardware to suit the masculine nature of the piece, however, the pulls are in perfect condition.
