Details: Charming pair of early 20th century Italian Minton Style majolica brackets featuring companion puttis or cherub boys. The figurines are each depicted swathed in blue fabric whilst holding the shelf above with one hand against the background of a large green acanthus leaf. The size of these fixtures make them versatile enough to display anywhere (wire loops on the back for hanging) and are sure to add a bit of Old World whimsy to any room!

Condition: In overall excellent condition-there evidence of repair on the back of one of the brackets and each of the cherubs' feet have small chips, showing the red clay beneath the glaze (see detailed photos). The top surfaces of the brackets are glazed, however, one has a slightly yellow tint in the glaze.
